All about the 8 Days Tanzania Serengeti Safari

1. Day 1 Arrive in Arusha
   
   Upon arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to a designated hotel or lodge where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views of either Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru as you prepare for your trip.
   Accommodation: A designated hotel or lodge
   Meals: Breakfast and dinner.
2. Day 2 Arusha – Tarangire Park
   
   After breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park, famous for its tree climbing pythons, massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Tarangire National Park may be small but it is still home to a significant wildlife population, with a density of wildlife matched only by Ngorongoro.

3. Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater
   
   After breakfast, you will be driven into the Ngorongoro Crater for your early morning game drive. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is the crater, a large unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The crater formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago. It’s 610 m (2,000 ft.) deep and its floor covers 264 km2 (100 square miles). The crater is famous for the big 5 animals (Lion, Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, and Buffalo). Other animals you will see are Zebras, Gazelle, Wildebeest, Impalas, Hippos and different species of birds.

4. Day 4 Serengeti National Park
   
   After an early breakfast, we head for Serengeti with a packed lunch. Serengeti is the oldest and most popular national park, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Zebra and Thomson gazelle join the trek in search of fresh grazing and water. Some of the other animals found in Serengeti are buffalo, giraffes, elands, topi, kongoni, impalas, grant gazelles, lions, cheetahs, leopards and jackals.

5. Day 5 Serengeti Full Day
   
   After breakfast, continue with full day migration viewing in Serengeti National Park with packed lunch. Serengeti National Park is widely regarded as the best wildlife reserve in Africa due to its density of predators and prey, and the great wildebeest migration.
   Accommodation: A designated hotel or lodge
   Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
6. Day 6 Lake Natron
   
   After breakfast, depart to Lake Natron with packed lunch, crossing Loliondo on Waso Village, before heading down to the lake shores. Enjoy walks out on the mud flats around the shores of Lake Natron, viewing the lesser East African flamingo. Together with a local guide, make your way to the waterfalls for some relaxation and swimming before returning to Natron Tented Camp.

   Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
7. Day 7 Lake Manyara National Park
   
   After breakfast, we set off from Lake Natron to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is 127 square miles (329 km2) and the lake’s alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 km2). While most known for baboons, the lake and its surrounding area are home to other wildlife such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. You may also see the park’s famous tree climbing lions.
   Accommodation: Lake Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp or similar accommodation
   Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
8. Day 8 Lake Manyara – Arusha
   
   After breakfast, you will check out from the lodge or camp and be transferred to Arusha town. Depending on the nature of arrangement you will be taken to Arusha airport to connect with your flight to Zanzibar Island or have a day room at Arusha while waiting for your International flight in the evening.
